Hannah's 18th Birthday
As was true last year, Hannah's birthday fell on Presidents' weekend while we were in Grove City. We celebrated there with Bethany and Ben and the Mayos and then the following weekend here at home with friends. (Well, Willis was in Phoenix for the 50th Anniversary party, but that's another story.) Happy 18th Birthday, Hannah! We love you!
Bethany's Senior Recital

Almost a year ago Bethany scheduled her Senior Recital at Grove City College for Presidents' Weekend. Saturday February 14, Valentine's Day turned out to be a day of "sweet music" for all of us who filled the Pew Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

Bethany's program of piano music consisted of "Toccata in G Major" by Johann Sebastian Bach, "Sonata in C Minor, Op.13 ("Pathetique")" by Ludwig van Beethoven, "Liebestraum No. 3" by Franz Liszt, and "Sonatine" by Maurice Ravel. Of course she played beautifully and we were all in awe of her wonderful talent, how fast her fingers fly across the keys, and the many hours of rehearsal to memorize that much music!

Willis and I were so pleased that Josh's parents Walt and Pat Mayo could join us in Grove City for the Recital and for the weekend.
Nathan in Paris

Stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, Nathan now has opportunity to travel to exotic loctions in Europe! One weekend in February, Paris France was his destination. This is the first--but hopefully not the last--guest post.
Nathan walked around a lot, saw some cool sites, ate some good food, and took a lot of pictures. "The Eiffel Tower is scary climbing up all those steps. Goodness, I was freakin' out." Considering Nathan's aversion to heights and roller coasters, I'm proud of him for making the climb!
