A few weeks ago as Claudia was planning a trip to Wyoming to see her son, she brought the CBS lessons over to me early in the week. Usually I just put them in the core group packets on Thursday morning when we arrive at the church. This week I could have done that in advance, but I didn’t. So, on Thursday morning, as I was dividing up the lessons, I realized—out of the shrink-wrap—I was finding not just Lesson 5s but some Lessons 5, 6, 7, and 8! And certainly not enough Lesson 5s for everyone. What to do? I called Claudia’s husband’s office to see if I could meet him at their house to find the correct number of Lesson 5s, but I had to leave a message. Then someone suggested calling Claudia since maybe she wasn’t in the air yet. Well, she wasn’t even out of Dyersburg yet!!!!! As she had been preparing to leave her house at 6:30 am for the drive to Memphis, she had received a call that her flight had been cancelled. She had been able to book a later flight, but she was out running an errand as we spoke. She was only too happy to return home, find the complete set of Lesson 5s and bring them to the church. Crisis averted!
Our apologies to the other passengers, but in His Providence God cancelled that flight so we could get our Lessons!
